I’m Cristina, and I grew up in Montecerboli, nearby Volterra, nestled in the heart of the Tuscan hills. My childhood was deeply rooted in nature, shaped by the rhythms of the seasons and the traditions passed down by my grandparents and family. I spent my days in our family’s vegetable garden, harvesting fruits and vegetables, learning the value of simple yet flavorful food infused with history. Respect for nature and an appreciation for fresh, local ingredients became the foundation of my passion for cooking.
Over the past five years, my journey has led me through incredible culinary experiences. I worked as a cooking teacher in the heart of Chianti Classico at Monterinaldi Winery, where I not only taught traditional Tuscan cooking but also led detailed wine tastings, deepening my understanding of the perfect harmony between food and wine. My passion for sharing authentic Italian cuisine continued in Florence, where I collaborated with Opera in the Kitchen, creating immersive culinary experiences that connected people with the essence of Italian food culture.
Now, I have taken my love for food on the road. Traveling in my camper, I share my journey of discovery, exploring local markets, family, run eateries, and traditional cooking methods, while immersing myself in the flavors and culinary heritage of each place I visit. Each destination adds a new layer to my understanding of food, allowing me to blend my Tuscan roots with the diverse cuisines I encounter.
